We operate a tiny teaching farm in Newton, MA. And, we are looking for some locals who would love to learn about Urban & Suburban Permaculture and Animal Composting while working with Our Dino Farm, Newton Schools & Community. Must love dinosaur chickens & worms!
Since 2010 SAVEfarms.org is or has been actively practicing
and educating others in the following areas:
Dino Chickens and other Fowl hatching, rearing and keeping.
Dino Chicken Rentals, including coop building, predator
protection & fencing
Animal Composting, with Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL),
chickens, worms, goats, pigs & more
Animal Husbandry, including goats, pigs, donkeys, rabbits, dogs,
chickens, guinea fowl, & more
Aquaponics, with Barramundi, Tilapia and more
Beekeeping
Mycelium and Mushrooms
Foraging and Wildcrafting, including the harvesting of
beneficial "weeds"
Food Forestry
Other aspects of Urban & Suburban Permaculture
Sales, Marketing, Inventory & Communications, using CRM
databases and Excel
Our Dino Farm is licensed to keep, deal & transport
fowl in Newton and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
